Aluminum is closely linked to the creation of breast cancer tumors and is categorized as a toxic heavy metal. Triethanolamine (TEA) and Diethanolamine (DEA) are invasive chemicals present in deodorant that seep into the skin and later cause kidneys and the liver problems. Both TEA and DEA have been banned throughout the cosmetic industry in Europe because of their detrimental effects; but in the United States, cosmetic manufacturers continue to use them without regard of repercussions. These are only a few of the ingredients that are found in most of the deodorants and antiperspirants that the leading brands put on the shelves.
