Jade Luu is a gardener, food and herbals alchemist, & garden-based learning educator based in Los Angeles, California.

Jade holds a B.A. in Journalism/Public Relations from San Jose State University and an Ed.M. in International Education Development/Peace Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a certified Permaculture Designer, and RYT Yoga Alliance instructor & practitioner with over 25 years experience in K-12 & higher education teaching, curriculum design and programming in the U.S., Japan, and China.

In 1995, following a life-changing quantum experience, Jade Luu left a career in hi-tech marketing and PR to embark on her path in Peace Education via Environmental & Sustainability Education. 

As a grower and earth steward, Jade has lived a garden-centered life for over 20 years and now teaches natural/organic & regenerative gardening, cold/hot/vermi-composting, and seed-to-table cooking. Her passions include practicing the art of preserving, dyeing, and natural lake pigments, paints and inks with plants, herbs and minerals. She is currently in training with the Theodore Payne California Native Plants Foundation to become a certified California native plants landscaper. She is also a member of the Los Angeles Green Building Council.

No matter where she is in the world, Jade always finds her way to Nature and is dedicated to sharing the knowledge, peace, and meaning she has found in her deep connection to Nature with others.
